Norton Taylor Nunn are pleased to have secured planning permission for 71 luxury apartments in Redbridge, on behalf of our clients LMSL Group.
This application was a complex process, with several previous refusals on this site over the last decade. Working with the local authority via a planning performance agreement, our consultants demonstrated that we could overcome previous concerns, including daylight and sunlight impact on neighbouring properties, parking pressures, and design.
The proposals, for five adjoining blocks set out in an L shape around the street edges of the site, were commended by the Redbridge Design Review Panel, for taking on board their constructive suggestions and demonstrating a commitment to the process.
The application site was a legacy industrial site, currently occupied by a range of businesses, including a retail tile shop, car wash, storage and MOT centre. Previous use as a fuel filling station complicated the site further.
The proposals will see 71 high-quality apartments delivered on the site, including 20 units of affordable housing, with 13 one-bedroom units, 41 two-bedroom units and 17 three-bedroom units. 7 larger units are designated as suitable for people with disabilities, and 40 car parking spaces are located within the basement.
